Lead magnet (download a guide)
A guide for an email — no exit intent.
What this template is for
A "don't leave!" window annoys people and catches them on the way out. Here the offer appears when someone has read half of the article: they already trust the material and are likelier to leave an email for a guide on the topic. The form, the consent and the download button are right in the window.
What the user sees
| Step | Anchored to | Copy |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | — | Free guide Leave your email — we’ll send the guide and open the download right away. |
The step anchors in a template are [data-tour="…"] placeholders. In the visual editor you point them at your own elements by clicking, or add that attribute in your markup; the copy is edited in the same place.
Why these defaults
- Shown after 60 % scroll: the reader is interested, not passing by.
- Pages under /blog — where people read, not buy.
- The name is optional, the email and the consent box are required; after sending, a "Download the guide" button right away.
- Once: whoever declines is not asked again. Add the file link and your privacy policy before publishing.

What to measure after launch
Form submissions per view (3–8 % is good). In Clew: the tour → Stats → form submissions.
What to A/B test. Compare a promise headline ("A launch checklist in 10 minutes") with a question headline.
