Empty-state nudge
An empty list where people do not know what to do next.
What this template is for
An empty screen is where newcomers stall most often: no data, and the button gets lost. One tooltip next to "Create" answers "what do I do here?" without a tour and without extra words.
What the user sees
| Step | Anchored to | Copy |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | [data-tour="create"] | Nothing here yet Create your first project and it will show up in this list. |
The step anchors in a template are [data-tour="…"] placeholders. In the visual editor you point them at your own elements by clicking, or add that attribute in your markup; the copy is edited in the same place.
Why these defaults
- A single tooltip: this needs one answer, not a walkthrough.
- After 2 seconds: people get to look around first, so it does not feel pushy.
- Pages with "/projects" in the URL — change it to your own empty list.
- Once: whoever has created their first item never sees it again.

What to measure after launch
Clicks on the button and the share who create their first item. Views and dismissals are in the tooltip's stats in Clew; the creation itself is in your analytics.
