New feature announcement
A release every active user should hear about.
What this template is for
New features go unnoticed: few people read the changelog and emails get lost. A centred window with one "Try it" button brings the people already in the product to the feature — at the moment they can actually try it.
What the user sees
| Step | Anchored to | Copy |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | — | New: saved filters Save any combination of filters and get back to it in one click. |
The step anchors in a template are [data-tour="…"] placeholders. In the visual editor you point them at your own elements by clicking, or add that attribute in your markup; the copy is edited in the same place.
Why these defaults
- A modal: an announcement has to be seen; a side tooltip is easy to miss.
- After 3 seconds: the page has loaded and the person has settled in.
- Once: showing the same announcement twice is spam.
- Priority 20 — it beats the tour, but only around the release; unpublish it afterwards.
Template settings

What to measure after launch
Clicks on "Try it" per view (15–30 % is good). See the step button clicks in the tour's stats in Clew.
What to A/B test. Compare two headlines: the feature's name against the benefit ("Saved filters" vs "Get back to your report in one click").
