Free product management tools and calculators

The calculations a product manager runs every week without opening a spreadsheet: rank the backlog, estimate what a change is worth, check whether a released feature is used and whether users are satisfied. Every tool explains its formula so you can defend the numbers in a review.

When you need them

Planning the roadmap

Score backlog items with RICE or ICE, find out which features users expect and which delight them with a Kano survey, and translate an activation lift into revenue for the business case.

After a release

Measure how many users adopt the feature, how long they take to reach value, whether retention changed, and whether the experiment result is statistically significant.

Listening to users

Turn survey answers into NPS, CSAT, CES and SUS scores with confidence intervals and benchmarks.

FAQ

What free product management tools are here?

A RICE and ICE prioritization calculator, a Kano model survey analyzer, activation revenue, feature adoption, time to value and retention calculators, NPS, CSAT, CES and SUS calculators and an A/B test calculator. All are free and need no sign-up.

How is a RICE score calculated?

RICE = Reach × Impact × Confidence ÷ Effort. Reach is users affected per period, Impact is a 0.25–3 scale, Confidence is a percentage and Effort is person-months. ICE uses Impact × Confidence × Ease for quicker scoring.

When should I use the Kano model instead of RICE?

Use Kano when you are unsure what users value: a short survey classifies features as must-be, performance, attractive or indifferent. Use RICE when you already know the candidates and need to order them by expected impact per effort.

How do I measure feature adoption?

Divide the users who used the feature meaningfully by the active users who could use it over the same period. The feature adoption calculator adds a confidence interval, depth and frequency of use, repeat usage and the median time to first use.

What is time to value and why track it?

Time to value is how long a new user takes to reach the first meaningful outcome in the product. The shorter it is, the higher activation and early retention; the calculator shows the median and p75 time to value and where users drop off on the way.

Which satisfaction metric should a product team track?

NPS for loyalty at the relationship level, CSAT right after an interaction, CES for how easy a task was, and SUS for the usability of the interface. The calculators score each one with a confidence interval.

Can Clew help once the numbers point to a problem?
